Alpha Gamma Delta has made a committment to academic excellence both for the individual and for each chapter. The Fraternity has specific goals and guidelines to assure that academic achievement remains a priority. The Fraternity's Strive for Pi program recognizes individuals and chapters that have attained a 3.14 grade point average each term.
Each member must attain at least a 2.3 grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) to be initiated. Each collegiate member must maintain the chapter's scholarship requirement (at least a 2.3) to remain in Good Standing. Each collegiate chapter must maintain a 2.8 to remain in Good Standing with the International Fraternity.
Personal development skills will benefit you throughout your life in the business world and in the community.
Alpha Gamma Delta can help you to achieve balance among academics, extracurricular activites and health. The Fourteen Pearls Program focuses on individual growth to help new members become well-rounded initiated members. As you make the most of your time and opportunities, you will enjoy your collegiate years and take advantages of the challenges you encounter. Through alumnae involvement, Alpha Gamma Delta provides an invaluable support system for each member beyond her collegiate years.
The Purpose remains unchanged from the day it was written by our founders. It serves as a guide for all Fraternity programming and activities and charges each member to uphold these ideals throughout her lifetime.
Alpha Gamma Delta offers many angles for you to become involved in the chapter and on campus. Each member begins her leadership training by serving on one of the chapter's committees or holding a leadership position.
You will also find opportunities with intramural sports, Homecoming and other campus activities. A local Activity Recognition System rewards members for their leadership not only in the chapter, but also other organizations on campus and in the community.
Our educational programming brings various topics to collegians such as alcohol awareness, social issues, health, time management and many more. Outside speakers are often invited to make presentations. Scholarships are also available for members to attend leadership conferences throughout the year.
